Emergence Grants

The CPPG is accepting requests for support to:

  • Travel to in-person meetings

  • Register to attend virtual meetings

  • Register to participate in virtual classes or online training

  • Purchase hardware to support participation in virtual platforms

The four major goals of the Emergence grant are to:

  • Expand CGE member collaborations

  • Expand CGE member outreach activities;

  • Encourage involvement in STEM for underrepresented students, and

  • Produce a long-term impact

Specifications:

  • Applications shall be for travel/events occurring between July - December 2023.

  • Postdocs, graduate students, and junior staff who work in labs belonging to CPPG member faculty are eligible to apply.

  • Awardees are not eligible to receive funding more than once a calendar year.

  • Grants will be awarded in varying amounts; preference given to requests less than $2,000.
